If You Quit Smoking And Have A Cigarette After 2 Days Sober Is It Like Starting From Scratch Again?

Don’t try to talk me out of the cigarette, I already smoked it, well half of it anyways. Preferably only answers from those who have quit smoking or gone through what I am. I quit cold turkey by the way.

My experience is that “it’s only one cigarette” is a slippery slope and before you know it you’re back to how much you smoked before. But you did it already, so pick yourself up again and just get back with it. Don’t quit quitting!
Also, I’ve found that the hardest milestones to achieve are the third day, the third week, and the third month. I’ve never made it to the third year so I don’t know about that one.
    Good luck!

Chantix. 35 yr smoker, 2 pks a day. 4000.00 a year. Been smoke free for almost 11/2 mo. with no stress or effort. Feeling great. Never in my dreams would I have thought it could be this easy to quit!
