We all know he will have to stop hanging out with his pot head friends. But only he can make that decision You are a good friend for wanting to help him. But i suggest you leave him alone for awhile. Maybe then he will really want to change

You can tell him you will be there for him no matter what. You can point out the fact that his other friends aren’t true friends if they would put you down for wanting to quit. But you know what? He will probably not understand that until much later in life Just be there for him. Hang out with him. Tell him if he ever needs to talk he can call you. Good luck.

    Hey,
He’s the only one to make that decision. You can’t force him, if he’s smart he’ll give it up and if he’s not well…..
16 and smoking pot eh? Well, he has to get new friends and start acting responsible – then again, he’s only 16 – perhaps he needs a wake up call.
Just refuse to hang around him – alienate him for a while – I don’t know – hit him really hard with a bat.
I just can’t abide pot smokers – but think about it

This is a tricky task. He has no chance of quitting unless he knows he needs to and really wants to. Peer Pressure is not a factor beyond environmental cues.
    Point out the dangers.
    Let him decide.
Be a good friend and let him choose.
